Description
The collection primarily consists of Geoffrey Parsons' correspondence regarding his work on a biography of William McKinley.
Background
Geoffrey Parsons (1879-1956) was an American journalist and author and was the chief editorial writer of the New York Herald Tribune from 1924 to 1952. In 1929, with the encouragement of historian Allan Nevins and the publishing firm of Dodd, Mead & Co., he began research for a biography of President William McKinley, which was never completed.
