Hal Roach (1892-1992) was an American producer, director, and writer of film and television comedies. Roach has 159 directing
credits, 196 writing credits, and 1204 producing credits from his 1915-1960 career. He is best known for the
Our Gang (1922-1944) and his work with Laurel and Hardy (1927-1955).
