Description
Collection contains 6 photograph albums of Glenn Baker photos in Hawaii (after World War II) and in San Francisco. Baker lived
in Hawaii until his retirement in 1979. He then moved to San Francisco, where he resided until he died at age 97. Photos include
early black and white male nudes taken in Hawaii during the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, as well as color snapshots from outdoor
adventure trips in Northern California, circa 1979-1983, street scenes from Polk Street and the Castro in 1982, and Gay Pride
Parades from 1981-1983, 1985-1986. Also included are images from Ringold Alley, Escola Nova, and the Castro Street Fair.
