A collection of newspaper and journal articles documenting the history and activities of the AIDS Project of the East Bay (APEB), including issues of San Francisco Sentinel and other newspapers.
Background
AIDS Project of the East Bay (APEB) was founded in 1983 by Oakland physician Dr. Robert C. Scott as a program of the Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley. Dr. Scott provided safer sex information to people at risk for HIV infection from his clinic waiting room to public sex environments and points between.
