    Collection Scope and Content

    Robert H. Bruce discharge certificates (SAFR 246, HDC 445) were issued for the years 1895, 1899, 1903, 1906. There are seven certificates in total. This collection has been processed and is open for use without restriction.
    The first certificate of discharge is dated 1895 and notes that the voyage began in December of 1894 and ended in 1895 in Rio de Janeiro. Bruce served in the capacity of First Mate aboard the JEANIE WARDADE.
    The second certificate is dated 1985 and the voyage began in Rio de Janeiro where he served as Mate aboard the steamer CREOLE.
    The third certificate of discharge is dated 1895 and notes the voyage began in Buenos Aires and ended in Hamburg. Bruce served as Mate aboard the H.W. LARREN.
    The fourth certificate is dated 1899. Bruce served as Mate aboard the schooner BIANCA.
    The fifth certificate of discharge is dated 1903 in Baltimore. Bruce served in the capacity of Mate aboard the BOYSTON which was registered at the port of Boston, MA.
    The sixth certificate is dated 1906 in New York. Bruce served as Mate aboard the schooner CALUMET which was registered at the port of Boston, MA.
    The seventh certificate of discharge is dated 1906 in Baltimore. Bruce served in the capacity of first mate aboard the barkentine GOOD NEWS during this voyage.
