of Joe Harris, favorite merchant of the San Francisco waterfront and the liberty ship named for him JOE HARRIS. The collection
is available for research use without restriction.
Background
Joe Harris (1876-1933) was the proprietor of Joe Harris Seaman's Outfitter's, a uniform and outfitting store on Market Street,
San Francisco, California. He was highly respected along the waterfront for many years.
