Description
This collection contains two items of First World War militaria collected by Charles L. Hand. The items include one helmet
and one saber.
Background
The British helmet is one of many purchased by the US Government for the first troops of the American Expeditionary Force.
The saber is stamped with "Army and Navy Cooperative Co. New York NY", which was a large uniform house that was formed in
1912 and seems to have gone out of business in 1919 or 1925.
