    The Port Director's Manual (Number 76) for Loading Officers (SAFR 17524, HDC 365) is 102 pages in length. It was created for loading officers from the 13th Naval District. This particular volume was issued to John R. Page during World War II. The collection is available for research use without restriction.
    The manual contains information about World War II vessels, including: fold-out vessel plans; provisions storage; harbor and navigation charts for the 13th Naval District ports in the Northwestern United States (Oregon and Washington), and some in far Northern California; a Coast Guard global seasonal zones map; deck load information; isometric views of various vessels types (including liberty ships); and vessel specifications and characteristics.
