Description
The Papers of Colin Brown, 1953-2010 consists of materials related to the drafting and publication of Brown’s works as well as materials from Fuller Theological Seminary courses. It also includes his correspondence with Biblical scholars such as F.F. Bruce, Carl F.H. Henry and G.R. Beasley-Murray conducted during the process of editing of The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology (1986). Dr. Colin Brown was a professor of systematic theology at Fuller Theological Seminary from 1978 – 2015. He was the founding Associate Dean of the Center for Advanced Theological Studies in Fuller’s School of Theology, serving in that role from 1988 to 1997. In addition to core courses in systematic theology, Dr. Brown taught advanced seminars on theological method, the politics of Jesus, and contemporary Christology. Background
Dr. Colin Brown (1932 - May 4, 2019) was a professor of systematic theology at Fuller Theological Seminary from 1978 – 2015. He was the founding Associate Dean of the Center for Advanced Theological Studies in Fuller’s School of Theology, serving in that role from 1988 to 1997. He received the Seminary’s C. Davis Weyerhauser Award for excellence in teaching in 1988. In addition to core courses in systematic theology, Dr. Brown also taught advanced seminars on theological method, the politics of Jesus, and contemporary Christology.
