Teledyne Geotronics was the aerial photograph component of Teledyne, Inc., and their office was located in Long Beach, California.
The Teledyne Geotronics aerial photography was part of a major gift from the Teledyne Foundation to the Library in 1986. This
gift comprised photography from the following companies: Fairchild Aerial Surveys, Teledyne Geotronics & Geotronics of Monrovia,
International Mapping Company, Pacific Air Industries, Universe Air, and Watson Photo Studios.
Approximately 65,000 negatives of oblique aerial and ground photographs taken by various companies that became Teledyne Geotronics.
Formats are 4 x 5 inch negatives and prints. Locations covered in this collection include the United States and Mexico. Listed
by state and county, these are:
California: Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Humboldt, Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Monterey, Napa, Orange, Plumas, Riverside,
San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz,
Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Tulare, Ventura.
Arizona (190 images): Coconino, La Paz, Maricopa, Pima, Pinal.
Colorado (8 images): Rio Blanco.
Mexico (58 images).
Nevada (172 images): Clark, Washoe.
New Mexico (46 images): Santa Fe.

Box 1-35: Frames 1-12999; Box 36-167: numbering scheme in these boxes switches to year-number (i.e. yy-####).
