Scope and Content

Photograph album, dating to around 1900, containing approximately 85 albumen prints. An opening caption in the album reads: "de Lyon's family album." The album is divided into two sections. The first section comprises a family vacation at Matilija Springs in Ventura County, California. This includes people and places around Matilija Springs, circa 1900.
The second section covers Southern California landmarks, including missions, buildings, railroads, Catalina Island, and Coronado Island, San Diego. The album contains loose prints and Matilija Springs postcards.
