The Paul Zastupnevich costume design drawings span the years 1960-1979 and encompass 2.7 linear feet.
The collection consists primarily of nearly forty signed costume design drawings as well as some
production design drawings.
Background
Paul Zastupnevich was an American costume designer active in film from 1959 to 1980. He worked on a
number of films in association with producer-director-writer Irwin Allen, from THE BIG CIRCUS (1959) to
BEYOND THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1979). He received Academy Award nominations for costume design for THE
POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1972), THE SWARM (1978), and WHEN TIME RAN OUT (1980).
