    Biography/Administrative History

    George A. Tracy was President of the union during this period; Harry L. White, compositor, was Secretary-Treasurer. Tracy authored History of The Typographical Union (Indianapolis, 1913) which includes his account of the San Francisco disaster of April 18, 1906.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    Ledger includes entries from April 22, 1906 through May 21, 1907. Disbursements include payments to Relief Fund, General Fund, Burial Fund, International Typographical Union assessments, Refurnishing Account. Income includes dues and assessments from Sundry Members of various printing chapels; Application fees; donations to Relief Fund.
