Collection consists of a photograph of American silent film star Laurette Taylor and published sheet music of "Who'll Buy
my Violets" featuring Spanish singer Raquel Meller from Alexander Tiers' personal collection.
Background
Raquel Meller (1888-1962) was a Spanish theatrical singer, film star, and vaudeville performer in the 1920s and 1930s. She
sang the original versions of well known songs such as "La Violetera" and "El relicario", both written by José Padilla Sánchez.
