Abstract: The Performing Arts Program Collection documents theater productions from venues in New York, San Francisco, and San Jose
between the years 1894-1941. The programs consist of orchestra, theater, symphony, opera, and recital programs. Each one is
compiled with event details, song lists, performers, and background information pertaining to each show. Additional items
in the collection include commencement brochures from the University of the Pacific and two photographs of Haus Kronald and
Jos. (Joseph) Hollman.

The Performing Arts Program Collection documents theater productions from venues in New York, San Francisco, and San Jose
between the years 1894-1941. The programs consist of orchestra, theater, symphony, opera, and recital programs. Each one is
compiled with event details, song lists, performers, and background information pertaining to each show. Additional items
in the collection include commencement brochures from the University of the Pacific and two photographs of Haus Kronald and
Jos. (Joseph) Hollman.

Scope and Content of Collection
This series consists of programs from churches, auditoriums, theaters, and recital halls. Programs include orchestra, theater,
symphony, opera, and recital performances during the span of 1894-1941. Duplicate copies exist for selected performances.
The collection includes musical performances and commencement announcements from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco.
The auditoriums and theatre halls provided an assortment of operas and symphony programs often with elaborate artwork and
handwritten messages. The miscellaneous programs do not specify a venue only a New York location.
