Abstract: Hawaiian Maritime News on Maritime Subjects is a compilation of reproductions of newspaper articles and their handwritten
and typed transcriptions. The selected articles include news about vessel movements, accidents, launchings, business news,
medical reports and columns. The newspapers that are excerpted are the Hilo Tribune, Pacific Commercial Advertiser of Honolulu,
Hawaii Herald, The Friend, Thrum's Journal and the Marine Journal. Also, included is correspondence between Captain Fred Klebingat,
Nella Tucker and others. A number of the handwritten letters are in German. The collection is available for use.
