    Content Description

    This collection contains four letters from Lieutenant Colonel Louis E. Kearney, United States Army Air Force to his wife Harriett Kearney during the Second World War. These letters focus on how much Kearney misses and loves his wife. He writes about God, faith in heaven and the belief in an everlasting life. Other topics include living in hotels before overseas deployment, being issued his overseas equipment and receiving the Bronze Star medal in May of 1945.
    Also included in this collection are three mounted photographs of Mr. and Mrs. Kearney, one letter from Lieutenant General R.E. Nugent, United States Army Air Force and four photocopies of the original Kearney correspondence contained.
