The majority of the collection consists of short line railroad maintenance reports as well as drafts, final copies and research for the track maintenance books that Harold Grier wrote and self-published. Files include biographical materials, correspondence relating to the development of the proposed tourist railroad, Roaring Forks Railroad as well research and correspondence relating to the development of the Napa Valley Wine Train, printed railroad related materials, and rail track photographs.
