Biography/Administrative History

L G. Harris was the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Construction Engineer on the second track construction project.

Scope and Content of Collection

This scrapbook was the property of L. G. Harris. The first few pages of this book shows data on the construction work on the second track between Yampai, Arizona and Topock, Arizona which included personnel, dates of work started and date track turned over to operation, signals place in service, miles of track constructed, miles of track removed, grading data, and miscellaneous data. The next few pages show sketches of the line changes. These sketches range in scales from 1"=6000' down to 1"=500'. The remainder of the book are high quality photographs of the construction project and were taken on two separate inspection trips, one in October 1922 and the other in June 1923. [Album 124]
