Description
A collection of material relating to a series of interviews with Wally Shidler, conducted by David Boulé. Wally G. Shidler is a former motion picture engineer and collector of Southern California ephemera. David Boulé is an author, researcher, and collector of items and information relating to the California citrus industry. The interview sessions combined last approximately six hours and focus on Shidler's life and activities as a collector of materials on Los Angeles history, particularly materials relating to transportation and entertainment in Southern California. The collection consists of a USB flash drive containing the audio recordings of the interview sessions, which spanned 2016 to 2017. The collection also includes two folders of printed materials, including transcriptions of the interview sessions, a folder of Wally Shidler's business cards, a short biography of Shidler, outlines and planned questions for the interviews, and a synopsis about the interview project (titled Wally's World: Los Angeles through Time & Space). The USB flash drive also contains text and image files relating to the project. All digital file and folder names from the flash drive are listed in this finding aid under the record titled "Interview audio recordings and other digital files on USB flash drive."
