Biographical note

Member, United States Army 173rd Ordnance Company.

Scope and Content of the Collection

The George C. McAninch manuscript relates to activities of the 173rd Ordnance Company and its successor units in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. The manuscript is titled, "The Guys: This is the Saga of One Army Unit in WWII." Original Company 173rd Ordance Company was split in India shipped to China as 3297th Ordnance Supply Company and then as Small Team to Shanghai as 3300th Ordnance Supply Team.
Includes one photograph of a group reunion.
