Description
This record series contains materials created by the Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business, including correspondence, annual reports, audit materials, staff and committee meeting minutes and agendas, and administrative files.
Background
The Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business was created in 1974, serving within the portfolio of the Vice Chancellor for Administration. The Assistant Vice Chancellor was responsible for the oversight of campus Business Services, Extramural Support, Material Management, Communications and Transportation Services, and Housing and Food Services. The position was first occupied by Harland B. Thompson, who generated most of the materials in this record series.
