The Dennis Kroll Collection (1853-2017; undated) contains 3.5 linear feet of material collected by Kroll that relates mostly
to Compton history. A majority of the collection contains documents printed from Wikipedia and Ancestry.com, as well as photocopies
of photographs, census records, books, and other material related to the land, institutions, landmarks, and people of Compton,
California. Also included in this collection are yearbooks for Compton Senior High School, Compton Junior High School, Roosevelet
High School and others; as well as family photographs.
Biographical / Historical
Dennis Kroll is a historian who was a graduate of Compton Senior High School (class of 1957). His wife, Barbara (née Baker)
was also a graduate of Compton Senior High School (class of 1959).
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Collection was donated with the cooperation of the Compton 125 Historical Society, 2018.

and other photocopied images taken in Compton. Also included are images taken by Jerry Gerhard Victor Barsch of buildings
in Compton after the 1933 earthquake.
Oversized photographs of Bunker Hill; Angels Flight; Downtown [Los Angeles] at Broadway; and an autographed Claude and Cliff
