Biography
Scope and Content of Collection
The first three boxes of this series contain materials written by Harrison and writings by
others about Harrison.
The last ten boxes contain research materials written and collected by Harrison. Boxes 4-6
are on Charles Ives, Box 7 on Virgil Thomsom and Box 8 contains both oversize material on
Ives and Henry Cowell. Boxes 9-13 contain materials written and collected by Harrison about
Korean music. Most of these items are printed in a combination of Chinese and Korean and are
not translated into English. Many of Harrison notes are in a combination of English and
Esperanto. Where possible a very simple translation has been provided.
