Contains photographs of the vessel on launching day, in the stream, underway, at dock, and views on board the vessel.

Vessel History: The second American-Hawaiian vessel named MISSOURIAN was built in 1922 by Merchant Shipbuilding Corp. in Chester, Pennsylvania. She was launched on Wednesday, December 14, 1921, and Mrs. Laurence Millet of New York was the sponsor. After the launch MISSOURIAN was towed back to the shipyard to install the engines. The vessel was completed in July 1922. In 1940, MISSOURIAN was sold to Runciman Ltds., London, England, and renamed EMPIRE SWAN by the Ministry of War Transport (MOWT). In 1942, she was transferred to Belgium and renamed BELGIAN FREIGHTER. In 1946, she was owned by Cie.Maritime Belge, Antwerp, and named CAPITAINE POTIE. In 1948, she was owned by Cia.Genovese di Nav.a Vapore, Genoa and named GENOVA. In 1955, she was owned by Cia.Genovese di Armamento, Genoa and named FLAMINA. She was owned by Compra Vendita Covena, Genoa in 1963. In 1964, she was named KING ABDEL AZIZ and was owned by Bakhashab Mohamed Abubakur, Saudi Arabia. The vessel was scrapped in Taiwan in 1970.
