Description
Matsuzaka was an Imperial Japanese Navy artist. The Matsuzaka Yasushi papers contains journals, correspondence, photographs, and diaries.
Background
Matsuzaka was an Imperial Japanese Navy artist, who conducted research to produce Japanese propaganda documentaries in Wake Island. He was also active in southern China, Hainan, and French Indochina in 1940-1941. He was a member of the First Society of Arts. He was former Prime Minister Nakasone Yasuhiro's friend.
