Collection is open for research. Glass negatives available by appointment only. Nitrate negatives closed for research due
to hazardous materials restrictions.

Collection was purchased from Barney Chapman in 2014.
Arranged according to photographer's original negative number. Item nos. 021 and 050 were mistakenly skipped during listing.
Most items include Cardinell-Vincent Co. serial numbers written in negative. Descriptive captions are present on some negatives
and/or negative sleeves. Descriptions in item list are chiefly transcribed from these sources.
Also includes nitrate negatives (NNEG(8x10) box 1), vintage photographic prints, and digital prints made by the seller from
selected negatives (PIC box 1). Each of these types or material is listed in this guide, with its storage location noted.
Original negative sleeves separated from negatives and shelved in PIC box 1.

views. Includes a few images depicting the Cardinell-Vincent Co. storefront and one of the company's promotional vehicles.
Two accompanying print-on-demand books, produced by the seller and featuring images from this collection, were transferred
to Book Collections of The Bancroft Library (fTR647.C3565 2014).
Digital files created by the seller from the original negatives have been transferred to the Digital Collections Unit of The
Bancroft Library.
