Biographical / Historical
The open reel tapes, grooved disc, and photographic slides capture a slice of life in Sabah Malaysia from 1965 to 1968 as
captured by Peace Corps volunteers Dr. Monroe A. and Winifred J. Gross. They befriended Kadazan musician Justin Stimol and
spent time with him experiencing Kadazan life. Justin appears in many photos and sound recordings in the collection.
