Abstract: Warren Acker Hall was born on Aug. 12, 1919 in Hot Springs, SD. After receiving his Ph.D in engineering from UCLA in 1952,
he went on to faculty positions in universities across California, including UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Riverside. His work is
related to water resources systems and agricultural engineering. This collection consists of research notes, reports and manuscripts,
and correspondence.

Warren Acker Hall was born on Aug. 12, 1919 in Hot Springs, SD; BS, California Institute of Technology, 1942; Ph.D in engineering,
UCLA, 1952; lecturer in engineering (1947-48), instructor (1948-50), lecturer (1950-52), asst. professor (1952-53), UCLA;
asst. professor of engineering, UC Davis, 1953-56; from asst. professor to professor of engineering (1955-66), asst. dean
of engineering (1956-60), and director of Water Resources Center (1961-66), UCLA; professor, UC Riverside, 1966-69; technical
asst., water resources, Office of Science and Technology, Executive Office of the President, 1969-71; professor of soil science
and agricultural engineering, UC Riverside, 1971-72; assoc. director and acting director (1972-73) and director (1973-77),
Office of Water Resources Research, Dept. of the Interior; in 1977 became professor of Engineering Resources Center, Colorado
State University; publications include Water resources systems engineering (with John A. Dracup, 1970).
Scope and Content
This collection consists of research notes, reports and manuscripts, and correspondence related to water resources systems
and agricultural engineering.
