Richard O. Fleischer was an American director active in film from 1946 to 1990. He was the son of
animator Max Fleischer. Richard Fleischer received an Academy Award in the documentary feature category
for DESIGN FOR DEATH (1947). He authored two books, "Just Tell Me When to Cry," and "Out of the
Inkwell."
