    Biography/Administrative History

    R.E. Aitken was a carpenter and then a locomotive engineer for the Rio Grande Southern Railroad Company. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad Company in 1969 after 26 years of service.

    Includes one paycheck issued to R.E. Aitken by the Rio Grande Southern Railroad Company on May 29, 1937. Also includes a November 25, 1969 letter to Aitken from H.H.
