    Biographical / Historical

Voces de los Artistas, from Minnesota, is a community based art affinity group established on November 28, 2016. The group – inspired by the art affinity model of Gran Fury of the ACT UP movement – works in direct collaboration with the Voces de la Frontera staff and produces banners, screen printed picket signs, and other forms of creative activism for the movement. VDLA also documents Voces actions through photography and videography, and creates boxsets for public archives so that these tactics and histories are taught and share.

    Scope and Contents

Collection consists of a box set of materials from Voces de los Artes, Voces de la Frontera's art activism group. Identified as "Art from a movement" the box includes screen prints and posters, banners, ephemera, photographs, a flash drive with digital copies of materials in the box along with videos and fliers, and a catalog that documents the artwork with each protest and demonstration.
