Abstract: Photographs of the 1983 Christopher Street West pride parade taken by Nancy W. (Bunny) MacCulloch. MacCulloch may be best
known for her appearance in the documentary
Before Stonewall and as the partner of June Mazer.
Nancy (Bunny) MacCulloch was born on August 13, 1928 in Salem, Massachusetts. She relocated with her partner to California.
While watching television coverage of the 1977 International Women's Year MacCulloch decided to become active in the lesbian
women's movement. She was interviewed for the documentary,
Before Stonewall (1984). She joined Southern California Women for Understanding (SCWU) where she meet June Mazer. She also volunteered her
time with Connexxus, the West Hollywood women's center and the West Coast Lesbian Collections. Mazer, MacCulloch, and others
arranged to have the West Coast Lesbian Collections (WCLC) relocated to Los Angeles. After Mazer's passing in 1987, the WCLC
was renamed the June Mazer Lesbian Archives. MacCulloch continued to work to grow the collection and make it available to
researchers. MacCulloch died in 1989.
