Dr. Marvin Epstein wrote the book, In Sickness and Health, The Progress of Medical Care in Contra Costa County, 1951 – 2000. This collection contains written transcripts and tapes of interviews of present and former staff of John Muir Med Center. Includes local physicians, administrators, nurses, architects, and politicians in Contra Costa County from 1996-1999. Interviews provided the source of medical changes in the county involving local hospitals. Includes 41 interviews.
