Open reel tape recordings of KZSU radio broadcasts and musical performances by Stanford
University performing groups recorded by Robert Suffel while a student at Stanford and News
Director at KZSU in the early to mid 1960's. Of interest is a recording of the launching of
the satellite, Echo II, from Vandenberg AFB on January 27, 1964 and a news clipping from the
Stanford Daily with a photograph of the news team that covered the story which included Bob
Suffel. Also included is a recording of Governor Brown dated March 3, 1961; Election
Highlights 1962 and 1964; and performances of South Pacific, a Christmas Carol, and Guys and
Dolls.
