Biographical / Historical
The Indian Springs Church of Christ was started by evangelist Rawden Bullard with funds from the Church of 7th Avenue in Columbus,
Ohio. It was first started in June of 1955 in the northern area of Columbus in a contemporary brick building. 38 members from
the 7th Avenue congregation had transferred to Indian Springs. Under Bullard's guidance, a church bulletin was implemented
with the purpose of both chronicling the history of the church as well as uniting the congregation. From 1955 to 1983, The
ministers who preached at Indian Springs were: Rawden L. Bullard (June 1955-March 1958), Robert "Bob" J. Roe (March 1958-June
1962), Aaron Herrin (June 1962-May 1964), Dr. Marlin Connelly, Jr. (June 1964-June 1967), William "Bill" Curry (June 1967-January
1971), Dr. Michael "Mike" F. Adams (February 1971- August 1975), Roger A. Coffman (August 1975- July 1978), and Dr. J. Russell
"Russ" Corley (1979-1983). As the church expanded, it added a classroom wing for Bible classes, an annual Vacation Bible School,
