    Biographical note

    Asa Hartung Smith (b.1909) worked as campus architect through the Southern Chapter of University of California Campus Architects and Engineers. Smith held a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Nebraska (1933).

    Scope and Content

    Record Series 668 contains scrapbooks and photographic materials generated and collected by Asa Hartung Smith. Materials include scrapbooks, photographic slides, and other ephemera regarding UCLA, the Neuropsychiatric Institute, the School of Medicine, the Center for Health Sciences, construction, university history, and the Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden.
