The Italian photographer, engineer and architect, Benito Panunzi (1819-1894), arrived in Argentina in 1861 where he worked
as a photographer
specializing in views of Buenos Aires and scenes of rural life for several years before turning his professional energies
to architecture. His
photographic oeuvre includes his Album Panunzi (1868).
