Abstract: This collection contains programs, newspaper clippings, fliers, posters, and other materials related to race and ethnicity both on and off the UC Riverside campus in the late 1960s. Topics addressed in the collection include information on ethnic studies, African American students, Mexican American students, protests, and related campus events. The collection also includes materials related to events and issues that happened off campus, such as housing discimination, farm worker strikes, and elections.

Series Scope and Contents

The series contains items related to race and ethnicity on the UC Riverside campus, with an emphasis on student activism related to these issues. Topics included are ethnic studies integration, African American and Mexican American student groups and activities, and other campus events. Materials in the series include programs, fliers, surveys, brochures, posters and articles. Also included for some campus events are detailed summaries of what occurred at that event.
