The materials in this Collection were donated to the San Diego Air and Space Museum.
Russell Thaw performed in movies with his mother as a child. Later, he became a racing pilot, participating in the Bendix
Air Race. He also flew the Gee Bee R-2. During World War Two he was a test pilot for Curtiss.
