Description
This collection consists of material related to Douglas Sprague's tenure at the California State Mining and Geology Board and career at CalMat, Inc. and Vulcans Material Company.
Background
Douglas W. Sprague graduated from the University of Southern California in 1971. During his college years, he worked at the Rock Products Industry, and subsequently, as operations manager for the Pacific Rock & Gravel Company in Irwindale, California. He later worked for Pryor-Giggey Company, a small refractory manufacturing company as a production manager.
