Description
Anything That Moves magazine was published by the Bay Area Bisexual Network from 1990-2001. This collection contains original artwork submitted to the magazine, photographs, letters exchanged between artists and editors, and ephemera from the magazine’s offices.
Background
Anything That Moves (ATM) magazine was published by the Bay Area Bisexual Network (BABN; now known as the Bay Area Bi+ and Pan Network) from 1990-2001, and it originated as an expansion of BABN’s newsletter. The magazine was staffed entirely by volunteers and ran for 22 issues. ATM was based in San Francisco, but it had an international readership and published submissions from artists and writers living around the world. The magazine’s mission was to combat various stereotypes and misinformation surrounding bisexuality, and they published artwork, comic strips, poems, photographs, and essays by and about the bisexual community. ATM’s website has been preserved by the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20230323212519/https://atm.silmemar.org/
