This collection contains five letters written by A1/C George Moraitis, USAF to Stephanie and Catherine Palazzo during the Gulf War (1990-91). In these letters, Moraitis gives some details of his 1989 enlistment in the Air Force, his birthplace, his childhood, his interests and hobbies and his family members.

Biographical / historical:

Airman First Class George Moraitis, United States Air Force was born around 1970 in New York. He joined the Air Force in January of 1989. During the time of the correspondence he was stationed in North Carolina, and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.
