Abstract: Indexes to Notice of Inventory Liens consists of one bound Index to Notices of Inventory Liens reported in San Diego County between 1958 and 1964. An Inventory Lien establishes a legal claim against moveable inventory as security for a loan. It usually prevents the sale of the inventory until the terms of the lien are met by the borrower. Records consist of a single box covering the years 1957-1964.

Scope and Content of Collection

The Index to Notice of Inventory Liens (1957-1964) provides information such as names of borrowers and lenders, date filed, file number, date cancelled, and the file number, the intention of which was the efficient retrieval of lien notices. However, please note that the Archives holds the Index only and does not hold the Inventory Liens themselves. Items are entered in alphabetical order by the first initial of the borrower’s last name and chronologically within by date of filing.
