Abstract: The collection consists of photographs, negatives, and drafts related to the works of children's book author Harriet E. Huntington.
Huntington used her own photography in many of her books, which focused on a variety of topics including music, plants, flowers,
fruits, insects, trees, reptiles, invertebrates, and the Yosemite Valley.

Processing of the Harriet E. Huntington papers was completed by undergraduate students from the University of California,
Riverside as part of the Special Collections & University Archives Backlog Processing Project started in 2015. This project
was funded by the UCR Library and administered by Jessica Geiser, Collections Management Librarian.
Collection Scope and Contents
The collection consists of photographs, negatives, and drafts related to the works of children's book author Harriet E. Huntington.
Huntington used her own photography in many of her books, which focused on a variety of topics including music, plants, flowers,
fruits, insects, trees, reptiles, invertebrates, and the Yosemite Valley.
The collection also includes correspondence, contracts, and notes related to Huntington's publisher, and two unpublished works
written by Huntington.

Series Scope and Contents
This series consists of photographs and negatives taken by Huntington on a variety of subjects, mostly related to animals
and nature. Also included in many of the topical areas are drafts of Huntington's books related to those topics, consisting
of mockups of the text and photographs for each work.
