    Biography/Administrative History

    Orne was born in 1832. He came to California during the Gold Rush. He worked in central California and became interested in the ministry in the Methodist Church. He married Eliza Bates. In 1876 they came to Santa Paula, CA. He helped establish the Methodist church in 1882

    The collection consists of a biography of Ebenezer Orne and a history of the United Methodists Church. some photographs of photos are included of the Orne family
