Scope and Contents

This is a handwritten manuscript signed by Laurrel C. Harris, archaeologist, El Dorado, California. Header notes: December 26, 1899, The Land of Sunshine. Materials include a page of drawings of glyphs found carved on rocks, and three photographs taken in November and December 1899. The manuscript was probably originally in MS.1 Charles Fletcher Lummis Collection, and might have been an article for Land of Sunshine. The three photographs are labeled: No 1 Sacred Fire Rock; No 2 Ulha, last of the Umbleca; No 3 Ancient Implements.
