Description
Nine Southern California maps collected by surveyor Cecil Hanson.
Background
Cecil Hanson was a land surveyor who worked for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District for the majority of his career.
He was also a collector of surveying instruments and helped found the Surveyors Historical Society. Hanson died in Houston,
Texas, in 1987.
