The Fern Kilburn Photograph Collection consists of 51 photographs taken between 1916-1917. Photos depict San Jose State Normal School students, buildings, Kindergarten Training School faculty and students, members of the Browning Literary Society, and various photos of Kilburn and associates.

Fern Kilburn (1893-1959) graduated from Watsonville High School in 1913. She attended the San Jose State Normal School Kindergarten Training School, and graduated in 1917. Kilburn was a member of the Browning Literary Society, and was the President of the Kindergarten Training School students' group. She married Harold Anthony Hyde, a graduate of UC Berkeley and they had one son. She lived in Berkeley, Carmel and Watsonville until her death in 1959.
