Description
Collection consists of a 1987 reproduction of a German poster for the first performance of "Pierrot Lunaire" by Austrian composer Arnold Schoenberg on October 16, 1912, in Berlin, Germany, and additional textual materials.
Background
The Arnold Schoenberg Institute at the University of Southern California housed the library and archives of Austrian composer Arnold Schoenberg (1874-1951) from 1973 until 1997. The collection was transferred to the newly created Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna, Austria, in 1998.
